Chair with polished or powder-coated aluminium fixed trestle base, mounted on self-braking castors. The shell in white polypropylene comes with a front double cushion and it's upholstered in leather, coated fabric, fabric or customer's material. Aluminium armrests are offered in the same finishes of the base. The optional armrests must therefore be included when placing the order, because they can be assembled only on compatible shells.
Concept
Catifa Up is inspired by Catifa 53, an icon of timeless design, distinguished by a higher backrest and optional armrests. The harmonious, curved line of the seat and the refined profile are obtained by reducing the superfluous without losing sensuality.
With Catifa Up, elegance and comfort join forces to offer a unique aesthetic in meeting rooms, executive offices and residential workspaces. The seat is available with a shell entirely covered in fabric, coated fabric or leather. The simple profile of the version with standard upholstery is flanked by Catifa Up Soft, characterised by soft padding thanks to the double cushion that guarantees greater comfort. The shells can be combined with all the bases in the collection, for configurations to suit any need: trestle, on glides or castors, and five-spoke on castors. The newly designed optional aluminium armrests complete the refined profile of the seat.

Lievore Altherr –Alberto Lievore (Buenos Aires, 1948) y Jeannette Altherr (Heidelberg, 1965) begins in 2016 after a 25 year trajectory as Lievore Altherr Molina. The Barcelona-based studio specializes in product design & development, strategic consulting, creative direction, art direction, and ephemeral architecture for internationally recognized design companies such as Arper, Andreu World, Vibia, Tribu, among others. Lievore Altherr develops projects using an established strategy: a creative concept integrating product design and its communication. This holistic approach, humanist character, and the search for the essential in their projects – combined with a sensibility that transmits harmony and balance – characterize the designs of Lievore Altherr. After a long professional career as one of the co-founders of the Lievore Altherr Molina studio, 2016 will welcome the start of a new professional chapter, the creation of Estudi Manel Molina with the collaboration of Raimon Monsarro and Daniel Castro. The studio will continue developing projects in industrial design and consulting activities.
