Now as well as the electric version there is also a vertical version with a large handle that transforms into a real towel heater, while occupying just 36 centimetres of space.
“When people think there is nothing more to invent, the mind looks inward and its many experiences, images, shapes and objects come together and explode into a new idea. The innovation continues….” (Andrea Crosetta).
Tubone has been created as a simple clean design, with proportion as the chief identifying characteristic. Each element consists of a tubular oval ring 60mm in diameter with 180 degree curves at each end – a clean and simple object which provides a starting point for the creation of a complete collection of radiators encompassing many functional and aesthetic needs. The nature of the design allows for total flexibility and having elements either singly, side by side, or one on top of another. These can be installed either horizontally or vertically, placed on the floor, under a window, or become a bench. Thanks to the flexibility of the design, it can be installed in any room, including the bathroom where it can also be used as a towel warmer.
Tubone received the Oderzo prize, organised by Unindustria and in June 2008 was selected by the Golden Compass 2008, an award for Italian production and design.
