A House with History and Future

INDIVIDUALLY PLANNED CONCRETE INTERIOR BY DADE DESIGN

The Marchwell architects redesigned a listed building with vaults and sandstone elements located at the riverbanks of the Limmat in Zürich. The kitchens and bathrooms of the four modern apartments on the upper floors have been equipped with individually planned concrete interiors by dade design.

OVERSIZED CONCRETE CUBE IN THE VAULTED CELLAR

The highlight in the house is certainly the oversized concrete cube in the vaulted cellar. This concrete cube conceals sanitary rooms in its interior. On top of the cube is the bedroom with a free-standing concrete bathtub, which was also produced and installed by our specialists in the Rhine Valley. The surfaces of the local cement used in the concrete cube were bush hammered and perfectly match the wall panels and concrete vanity units as well as the concrete kitchen made of white cement.
