Martin Ballendat has come up with this attractive cantilever chair as a fitting new addition to the successful Drumback range. The visitor chairs have a light and rather fine look but are really robust and offer a practical option to nicely complete the Drumback range. For the backrest, we recommend the Harlequin fabric, which comes in 17 colours. For the seat, you can choose from the full range of over 100 fabrics in the Viasit Collection.

Martin Ballendat has enjoyed international success as a designer for decades. Born in Bochum, Germany, in 1958, he completed his studies in design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. With his studio, Design Ballendat, he works for numerous prestigious brands. After three years of employment with office furniture manufacturer Sedus, he took over as head of design and product development at Wiesner Hager in Austria. He opened his own studio in Upper Austria in 1995, which was soon to be followed by a second one in Germany. Martin Ballendat has been awarded over 100 design prizes and awards. He has been working as a lecturer and guest professor at design schools for more than 15 years.
