The Tairu side table mixes practicality with natural beauty. The base is formed from a sturdy, hollow wooden rectangular with inset handles so it can be moved around easily. What sets the Tairu apart is the top, made from glazed lava stone from the Vesuvius. It is available in four sophisticated shades, each with a very subtle craquelure finish. The colours are applied by hand, which makes every piece unique.
Concept
The Tairu side table combines functionality with natural beauty and craftsmanship. The base is made of a sturdy, hollow teak rectangle with inset handles, so it can be moved around easily. What sets Tairu apart is the top, made from 400-year-old glazed lava stone from the Vesuvius. The coloured glazing is added by hand. Baking at a high temperature creates a subtle craquelure finish, giving each top a unique look and making the stone heat, water, UV and stain-resistant, not to mention easy to maintain. The table top is available in four sophisticated, nature-inspired colours.
