S 1521: Wall-mounted coat rack and shoe shelf with two mesh shelves each
This product offers several functions: as a shoe shelf, it can hold up to five pairs of shoes per shelf. The shelf consists of the durable mesh as well, which is resistant to dirt and water and dries off quickly. The top shelf can be also be used for storing bags or other utensils. As a wall-mounted coat rack, S 1521 offers the possibility for storing clothing and accessories. In addition, numerous coat hangers can be hung on the bottom cross bar, allowing this version to be used as a full wall-mounted coat rack as well.
Concept
Inspired by the classic tubular steel wall-mounted coat rack B 52/1 from 1930/31
The Thonet tubular steel coat rack S 1520 is inspired by the classic tubular steel wall-mounted coat rack B 52/1 from 1930/31, which is, for example, documented in the famous Thonet catalogue from 1930/31. Compared with the historical design, the size was carefully adjusted to modern requirements – the S 1520 offers clearly more space for clothing and objects. The covered coat hooks make for a linear, cleaner look. The shelves for hats, bags and shoes are made of highly durable translucent mesh. The three coat rack and shelf versions form a complete product family for the entrance area. Its individual modules can be perfectly combined and fit excellently with all other Thonet tubular steel classics.
