TEMPO- tufted woollen carpet collection
The time is now. The smooth, hand-tufted TEMPO carpets are made of 100% pure new wool and represent the high quality of Hanna Korvela Design. This modern woollen carpet collection is strong and minimalist, the colour range and design language are simple and clear. Carpet’s dense surface is brought to life by use of colours and with careful cutting of the pile, which creates a three-dimensional effect on the tuft. The new wool of TEMPO collection is dirt repellent, and endures well in use. All TEMPO carpets are produced according to customer’s requirements on size, and colours can be chosen from a wide range of standard colours. The collection of smooth TEMPO carpets consists of seven different designs varying from strong graphical patterns and geometrical symmetry to delicate arches and art deco-based inspiration. Each of the TEMPO designs reflect the basic idea of Hanna Korvela Design: quality, functionality and aesthetics.

Hanna Korvela Design’s collection of high quality, hand-tufted woollen carpets is complimented by three different designs of rya rugs with longer pile.
TEMPO 208, TEMPO 209 and TEMPO 210 carpets are made of 100% pure new wool, which is combined with linen to create a lively surface.
TEMPO 208 – natural tones
The TEMPO 208 carpet is subtle combination of one single wool yarn and linen in similar colour. The light plays on the surface of the rug, capturing the shiny linen among the more subtle wool.
TEMPO 209 – deeper character
The TEMPO 209 carpet brings deeper colours to the rya rug collection. TEMPO 209’s surface is a combination of two wool yarns with natural-coloured linen, giving the carpet more dimension and depth.
TEMPO 210 – brighter by nature
The bold colours of TEMPO 210 carpet add freshness to the collection of rya rugs. Two wool yarns are combined with shiny white linen, creating a strong contrast and excellent match to shinier surfaces and steel.
The TEMPO rya rugs are produced according to customer’s wishes on size, and colours can be chosen from a wide range of standard colours. The pure new wool used in the carpets is dirt repellent and endures well in use.

Hanna Korvela
Finland
Hanna Korvela studied at the Kuopio Academy of Crafts and Design and received her polytechnic degree in textile design in 1194. During her first year of work Hanna Korvela created the Duetto-cotton and paper cord carpet collection, which brought her in line with other well-known Finnish designers and into the public eye. Since 1995 she has also designed Lutheran church textiles, which is becoming an important area in her output. She is also working other home textiles and wall sculptures using a combination of metal and cotton yarn.
