Giano

Umbrella stands and two-sided sytems. The basic shape is changeable and gives a different appearance depending on the viewpoint and exposure. On closer inspection unexpected qualities are revealed. The round base shape transforms into ellipse at the upper edge. The object is perceived differently depending on the distance it is observed from. The special production system has allowed a shape with an apparent simplicity to be created. Giano, by Luisa Bocchietto, is the first non-pot object from Serralunga.
