the seismo table and floor lamps originated from the idea of creating an inverted representation of the flutes found in doric columns with stainless steel wires (on which the candle holder is mounted).

the amazing side-effect of this construction, which arose by chance, is that the candleholder (and therefore the candle) swings back and forth parallel to the floor at the most gentle touch: the floor lamp is steady, whereas the table version is rather excited and nervous without, however, spilling candle wax on the floor.
