Sitting still for a prolonged period of time takes its toll on the body and on our mental performance. Thanks to the flexibility of the Sedus dorsokinetic mechanism, the user stays mobile and always in balance. This is good for the intervertebral discs, and relaxes the neck and back muscles, allowing the head to move freely.

Markus Dörner’s career as a designer started off with an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker, and several years of experience in furniture making and exhibition stand construction were followed by a degree in product design. Markus then continued to specialise in furniture design – from 2004 to 2010 as a designer at the Vogtherr design studio in Mulhouse, France and at Sedus in Waldshut, Germany. He has been working freelance in his own studio in Kassel since 2011.
