MARU, modular coat stand

From narrow hallways and concept stores to loft offices – the MARU coat stand works well anywhere, even in corners or on walls that are normally left unused. It’s all made possible by the four steel frames and the mirror, which can be used together or individually, as needed. The steel frames come in different shapes – two straight and two rounded – and with or without additional horizontal bars for fitting even more hooks and rounded shelves, or for using with coat hangers. The idea behind designer Bao-Nghi Droste’s creation was to make a modular coat storage solution that can be combined and used in different ways to suit the architecture of the space. Each element can be connected with any of the others and in unlimited numbers. All that matters is that the final configuration stands solidly – by attaching it to the wall if necessary. MARU is made of black powder-coated steel. Delicate and sleek in appearance, it is also functional and practical, making it the perfect addition to the Schönbuch range.
