Tops are available in bevel-edged satin smooth laminate, lacquer, acrylic stone, marble or veneer.
Coated marble tops feature a transparent polyester coating to help eliminate use-associated stains.
Base is constructed from moulded, cast aluminium. White and black bases are protected with Rilsan.
Round tables stand 64/65cm high with marble/satin smooth laminate/lacquer/acrylic stone/veneer tops and range in diameter from 91cm to 107cm.
The 1 cm difference in height between the tables with laminate/veneer/lacquer tops and acrylic stone/marble tops is due to the top thickness.
Concept
The furnishings created by Saarinen for Knoll, which include the famous, revolutionary Tulip collection from 1957, have become major design icons of the postwar era. In his approach to architecture and furniture design, Eero Saarinen combined essential simplicity and very striking formal invention. His collection of pieces with “chalice” legs, including low tables and dining tables, epitomizes his ideal of formal unity.
