Concept
ASTRA in an elegant collection of reclining outdoor seatings, on wheels, dedicated to starry skies: lets you dream and change perspective with a gesture. Its design plays on the juxtaposition of solid tubular aluminium and cotton-feel ropes to give a fresh, light and comfortable combination to two lounge armchairs – with high or low backs – and a three-seater sofa. A feature of the range is the armrest of the seats, formed by a double cylinder covered with cords.

Responsible in the past for the art direction of Artemide (glass collection), Cappellini (from 1979 to 1989), Fontana Arte (furniture collection), Foscarini (lamps), Minotti (from 1998 until today) and Roda, he designs for various companies, including: Artemide, Cappellini, Cassina, Dornbracht, Driade, Emu, Ernestomeda, Fiam Italia, Flos, Flou, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Jab, MatteoGrassi, Minotti, Molteni & C., Moroso, Olivari, Pamar, Roda, RB Rossana, Sambonet, Serralunga, The Rug Company, Venini. Dordoni Architetti, founded in association with architects Alessandro Acerbi and Luca Zaniboni, deals with architectural planning and interior design, developing projects for houses, residential complexes, industrial and commercial areas such as offices, stores and showrooms, restaurants, hotels, yachts, as well as exhibit stands of diverse commercial fields.
