Architonic ID: 1443363
Year of Launch: 2014
The iconic Pixel sofa designed by Sergio Bicego in 2010 and restyled in 2014 is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The seating system is characterized by a series of elements which can be combined freely using an exclusive connector made by Saba Italia. The arm and back rests can be detached from the base to create endless new arrangements. The feather-padded seat cushions can be upholstered with a patchwork cover highlighting the limitless possibilities of personalization when choosing a Saba sofa. Thanks to the particular shape of the back and arm rests, the overall size of the sofa is small, both in terms of width and depth, without compromising its aesthetics. The Pixel sofa has been carefully and ergonomically designed to provide the greatest comfort and a highly stylish product. Fully removable covers.

Italy
Born in 1953 he left formal education and began, almost by chance, his experience in the field of the padded furniture. Fascinated by the world that surrounded him, he eagerly devoted himself to researching building forms and techniques which have borne fruit for the companies in which he worked. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and in 1993 he came across Saba Italia. New challenges and new incentives lead to the creation of the “nomad sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel, Avant-Après. Creations that were born from reflection of new desires that encourage us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that enable change with simple gestures, by playing with shapes.
