Jumping and sitting bollard during a day and a cosy lightning in the evening hours. The luminous disc of the sun is a fascinating natural phenomenon to observe – and it keeps us all alive.
HopOp500 Light is the result of the desire to combine this evenly suffused glow with a simple piece of furniture for sitting and bouncing. HopOp500 Light can be positioned in different formations, even combining different colours to spark joy and connection – indoors and out.
Material
Rotation moulded polyethylene, 6mm thick, dyed. Moulded in one piece. UV-resistant, stands up to weather, wear and tear. The material is suitable for granulation and recycling.
Surfaces and friction
The products have a textured/granulated surface due to abrasive blasting of the mold. This process enhances the friction and makes the surface less slippery.

Fixation Freestanding or using brackets. Brackets to be ordered separately. A countersunk groove moulded into the HopOp500 Light conceals the rubber cable, and permits the use of the 2 different mounting brackets.
Maintenance
This product withstands most cleaning agents and chemicals and can be cleaned using a high-pressure cleaner. The colour can be revived using vinyl cleaner or similar
Light function
The integrated LED-light unit is mounted inside the bollard, and glows through the translucent polyethylene surface with a uniform luminance.
Light unit
Built-in LED light unit connects directly to 100-240V AC/50-60Hz via mounted 5-metre rubber cable. 12W units with a colour temperature of around 4000 K.

Concept
The HOPOP and HOPOP 500 are simple, cylindrical elements with a wide range of uses and inspired by tree stumps or rocks, which humans have sat on since the beginning of time! Use them as playground elements to form a landscape of variable sizes and heights, for that classical game 'The floor is made of lava' and for sitting, jumping, climbing etc. Use them as combined seats and bollards or as space defining elements in larger areas. They come in two different models: the HOPOP with its two different diameters, made for subterranean mounting (create great variation with just one product, by choosing which diameter you point up, and in which height the product is mounted). The HOPOP 500 is made for surface mounting, and is suited for mounting on wooden decks or playground rubber matting, for instance- or in similar places where digging is not possible. Finally, we have now HOPOP 500 with intergrated light version available too. HoPOP500 Light can be positioned in different formations, even combining different colours to spark joy and connection – indoors and out.
