Open is an elegant and relatively compact contemporary collection of soft seating, with chair and sofa sharing a formed Steel rod, base frame aesthetic. Angular and striking, they lend a physical lightness to the appeal of the design. The moulded seat shells and cushions with ‘bull nosed’ edge profile, economic detailing and tailored upholstery, provide great comfort, precise shape, a simple pleasing form and visual slenderness.

Luke Person first met Tom Lloyd whilst studying at London’s prestigious Royal College of Art. They formed their aware winning product and furniture design consultancy in 1997, having spent a number of years working independently of each other for other highly acclaimed design studios. They have created stunning solutions for a variety of international clients, including manufacturers, consumer brands and government organisations.
