Netnet is constructed with the classic millepoints binding, which typically has a wave like structure. However, for the textile’s design, this is transformed into a gridded structure by applying a heat sensitive yarn. Netnet’s coloured multifilament yarn appears to lie on top of its transparent base, which provides an intriguing graphic contrast when the textile is backlit.
