Mondrian | Tree grate
Architonic ID: 20126497
Year of Launch: 2002
In order to solve the gap between the pavement and the tree, Antoni Roselló transfers a Piet Mondrian work to an urban scenario. The tree grate, with dashed perforations, establishes a geometric order that supports and ensures the continuity of the pavement.
The Piet Mondrian tree grate establishes a protection that covers the space provided for the roots of the tree that it houses, with a central space of Ø50 or Ø70. At the same time, it offers protection from changes in the pavement level, being adjusted to a steel frame that defines it.
