Rock Table collection
The iconic table, with its fluid and elegant silhouette, completely reveals the nature of what it represents: “a round table” that seems to float above a solid, inorganic base.
A mixture of natural and industrial materials that are blended to create a new product with a smooth design, following the same philosophy of Flow collection. A refined solid object, light and stable, radical as well as sensual.
Rock Table is a collection of tables suited to both home and contract settings, available in different heights, sizes and finishes.
Frame
The bases are made of UHPFRC (ultra-high performance fibre-reinforced cement) with cutting-edge technical/ structural properties. Available in natural, anthracite, green, and terracotta coloured cement.
A fundamental characteristic of the components is mass colouration. The finish and colour of the table bases is the result of a skilled mixture of sand and natural elements. Together with the slow maturation and drying given to each piece, this allows countless subtle shades to be obtained.
The coupling between the base and the joining tube of the table is peculiar and represents a pleasant and technical/visual detail. The components- the joining tube and the flange under the tabletop- are made of aluminium and are powder-coated with matt white, graphite grey orange and green lacquer.
The bases in natural cement come with fittings in matt white. The bases in anthracite cement come with fittings in matt graphite grey, terracotta cement bases are fitted with matt orange components, and green cement bases are fitted with matt green components.
Bases
The tables are equipped with three types of bases:
• narrow (with outer dimension of 34 cm at floor level) with 80 and 100 cm large tabletops;
• wide (with outer dimension of 50 cm at floor level) with 120 and 140 cm large tabletops;
• double (with outer dimension of 50 cm at floor level) with oval tops of 250 and 300 cm large.
• maxi (footprint 72x49 cm) for top measuring 115x240 cm and 105x210 cm.

France
Since the beginning of his career (a 1990 graduate of Paris’ ENSCI-Les Ateliers, Paris Design Institute), Jean-Marie Massaud has been working on an extensive range of works, stretching from architecture to objects, from one-off project to serial ones, from macro environment down to micro contexts. Major brands such as Axor, Cassina, Christofle, Poliform, Toyota have solicited his ability to mix comfort and elegance, zeitgeist and heritage, generosity and distinction. Beyond these elegant designs, his quest for lightness – in matters of essence – synthesize three broader stakes: individual and collective fulfillment, economic and industrial efficiency, and environmental concerns. “I’m trying to find an honest, generous path with the idea that, somewhere between the hard economic data, there are users. People.” His creations, whether speculative or pragmatic, explore this imperative paradigm: reconciling pleasure with responsibility, the individual with the collective. When asked to imagine a new stadium for the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, he comes back with a never seen before cloud and volcano-shaped building, integrated in a vast urban-development program that re-unite leisure and culture, nature and urbanization, sport aficionados and local citizens. Instead of implanting a stadium, he proposed an environment. And the initial vision has proven a realistic approach: the project has come to life in July 2011. More recently, his concept car developed in partnership with Toyota, has the same objective. MEWE is a synthesis of economical and ecological concepts, integrating issues specific to each stakeholder: the user, industry, and the environment. A pioneering multiple-use platform that is a car for the people, with a body in expanded polypropylene foam: a major innovation. “When I’m working on a project, there’s always an attempt to renew the subject I’m involved in”. Another distinctive aspect of his approach.
