The new Easer Wood chair from Lonc, the Dutch-based design firm, is living proof that functionality can flow forth from elegance. This marriage of rotationally molded polyethylene and FSC-certified tropical hardwood results in a sleek, stylish, sturdy, and comfortable chair. Four gently rounded pieces of dense, durable red-toned Cumaru are affixed to a stainless steel base with “knife handle rivets” in a fashion familiar to anyone who has used wooden-handled cutlery. The Easer Wood is equally well-suited to indoor or outdoor use at home, or in an office, restaurant or lobby.
