Concept
In his designs, Anthony Guerrée often throws the viewer off-guard. Which is what he does in the ‘Offset’ series of accent and coffee tables, which appear to be carefully fretsawn ‘puzzle pieces’. A slit in one piece, a slit in another, slot them sinto one another at a 90° angle, and, hey presto, the most stable base. However, this apparent simplicity leaves no room whatsoever for impurities: the finish of the wood and marble in ‘Offset’ is therefore sublime.
