Jiang basket set

These decorative baskets not only fulfil the mundane purpose of storing things, but are at the same time small masterpieces of handcrafting. Whether for holding fruit and veg, magazines and newspapers, needlework or kindling for the fireplace, or towels and linens in the bath or bedroom, Jiang is always a special eye-catcher. Wonderfully scented strands of sea grass are wound around sturdy plastic strings, which are then fashioned by hand into long spirals and sewn together. Achieving this organic round form requires the full concentration of the weaver.
