KUYU – new with marble tabletop. Marble is a new addition to the ZEITRAUM material pool. The brushed surface preserves the original, velvety texture of marble. The natural beauty of the stone is highlighted in the large KUYU lounge tables.
Together with the solid wooden legs, an exciting interplay of cool stone and warm wood is created. Both natural materials have an individual grain due to their natural origin. The two heights allow for a variety of shape and material combinations. The lounge table is an eye-catcher in both private and contract settings.

Concept
KUYU – cut diamonds from solid wood. Inspired by and abstracted from African masks, precision cut table legs have been created to carry the table top. The cut diamonds of solid wood appear sculpturally powerful and at the same time seem to float. The four archetypal shapes of the table top invite a geometric interplay: Triangle, circle, rectangle and free form take over the design of the room. Due to the two heights, different shapes can be combined and overlapped, creating exciting formations.
KUYU stands as a large lounge table in the living room in combination with sofa or armchairs. In the foyer of a hotel and in the lounge area of a restaurant it creates a centre of calm.

CREDIBILITY Plain and simple is good and precious ZEITRAUM isn´t just furniture, ZEITRAUM is an attiude to life and the things around us. The objects which accompany us through life should have character, whilst also being practical, adaptable and unobtrusive. They are a mirror and an expression of their owner, a servant and a friend. Our furniture is attractive because it is of good quality not because of designer frills. It impresses without dominating – exciting in its simplicity. QUALITY CREATES LONGEVITY If you don´t want to go with the flow. You need ideas. Our idea is quite simple – quality. Our furniture has to put up with a lot. Removals, decoration and even children´s parties. What it doesn´t put up with is design trends, which is good because its originality allows it to meet our changing requirements. Our design is a tribute to simplicity, to the purity of the materials, the constancy of the form. For furnitures which last more than a lifetime. ZEITRAUM furniture doesn´t age, it matures. WOOD – COMFORTABLE AND LIVELY The special glow of our timber is an invitation for both hands and eyes to follow its unique structure and grain. It doesn´t matter whether warm or cold, wood always feels comfortable. We can´t really see it because it lives very slowly. That´s impressive! Even more impressive is the fact that wood lives on after it has been felled – the floorboards creak, the walls groan almost as if they had just grown a new ring. THE SURFACES OF OUR FURNITURE ARE IMPORTANT FOR US. They have to look good, fell smooth and smell natural. We have to work hard to achieve this: the finely sanded surfaces are primed with oil and then sanded again prior to being hand finished with oil or beeswax balsam. This open-pore treatment allows the wood to breathe, absorbing and dispensing moisture from its surroundings. This treatment also prevents static, meaning that the surfaces don´t attract dust. PRODUCT CARE ZEITRAUM furniture is hand made with much care and is extremely robust. Looking after the furniture is therefore a simple task. In most cases wiping the surfaces with da damp cloth is all that´s required. An occasional oiling, or in the case of heavily abraded surfaces such as tabletops, waxing will keep the furniture looking great – you might even enjoy it!
