Koi is a versatile accessory; practicality and decorative vocation are the characteristics of this collection of baskets. Proposed in different sizes, it can contain magazines, objects or can also be used as a cache-pot thanks to the structure made out of a water-repellent polymer. The surface is characterised by a special hand-made weave that describes curved lines inspired by the scales of the Japanese Koi carp. The contrast between the colours of the EVA rubber structure sand, white, dark brown, brick red, blue and grey and the polished profiles make Koi a sophisticated and characterful accessory
Concept
The Atmosphere collection investigates the most ancient manufacturing techniques and interprets them in a contemporary key: the result of this combination is Koi, a hand-woven basket. The weaving pattern has been specially designed and customised for Giorgetti. It recalls the scales of the Japanese Koi carps, which are appreciated for their beauty and symbolism all over the world.
The Koi basket is made of EVA rubber, thanks to the continuous research on materials conducted by Giorgetti's R&D office. Appreciated for its aesthetic and durability properties, EVA is a water-repellent polymer that gives unexpected tactile sensations. Koi is an object with a versatile soul and also suitable for open spaces, which can be used as a container or cachepot.
