Ren

The design of Ren was based on the concept of sitting in a beautiful upright position. The backrest is set slightly lower than normal, allowing the user to naturally straighten their back and adopt an elegant posture.

The wooden frame consists of thin cuboid laths with a trapezoid section that gives the armrests subtle angles and provides the chair with a pleasant feel. Each element of the frame is assembled using tomegata-sanmai-tsugi (triple tenon), a traditional Japanese woodwork technique, and comes with a choice of textile or leather upholstery.
