Concept
The 14-sided dining table with its characteristic, barrel-shaped base is printed with a transparent pattern, using a cutting-edge technique and representing contemporary design being superimposed on traditional craft techniques. The design of the pattern, which is characteristic of Scholten & Baijings, interacts with the texture of the wood and takes on the appearance of a transparent tablecloth. The table comes in two sizes, seating 2~4 and 4~6 people respectively and can be easily dismounted for transportation.
The plain version of the table comes in naturally whitened chestnut wood.
