In Giotto Stoppino’s artistic production, the tubular metal represented a design paradigm around which to build an imaginary full of possibilities and the symbol of industrial production at the service of design.
The Jot chair is one of the greatest expressions of this study, a synthesis perfect between form and function. A chair with an essential and sinuous line, designed by the metal tube in contrast with the naturalness of the hand-sewn leather.
The particular design exploits the inherent flexibility of the curved metal and the structural characteristics of malleability and strength of the saddle-hide leather to give greater comfort to the seat. This aspect has been further improved in the current version, now with back entirely in saddle-hide leather, without the rear metal bar foreseen in the original version from the 70s.
