The Giove free-standing bathtub complements the Giove collection, originally introduced with the award-winning Giove free-standing washbasin, designed by Riccardo Gava and recognised with the Archiproducts Design Awards 2023 and Red Dot Award 2024.

The Giove bathtub reproduces the typical gentle vertical ribbed design and elliptical shape of the washbasin, expanding it into a more elongated form that is ergonomically designed to accommodate the body comfortably. One inner end of the bathtub incorporates a moulded backrest and a built-in space for tapware that converts to a shelf for storing toiletries if a free-standing bathtub column is used instead. The patented waste features a mechanically-operated built-in overflow protection that automatically activates when the water level exceeds pre-set safety limits. The bathtub’s sleek design features a recessed plinth that adds a touch of elegance and promotes ergonomic comfort by creating space for the feet.
