Designed for Audo by Nina Bruun, the Houkime Rug is classic in its expression, woven in a calming ribbed pattern from plush cotton and sustainable Tencel® fibres for a tactile finish. Inspired by Japanese zen gardens, where white sand is used to mimic the surface of water, the rug takes its name from the rippled gravel lines that are raked into dynamic ridges to represent the flow of water.

Offered in two classic colours – soothing sand beige and timeless midnight blue – to complement every modern home, the elegant design adds warmth and depth to spaces large and small, making you want to take to the floor or walk barefoot over its supremely soft rippled surface.
