Geometric Table
Architonic ID: 20746986
Summing up significant stylistic and material research, the Geometric Table is a transforming shape-shifting table that plays on perspective: with a hypnotic visual effect, it looks different depending on the point of view and results in a living area with a surprising personality. The concept is based on chameleon-like silhouettes, starting with the base: its four teardrop-shaped legs appear either thick or sharp and thin, playing together to offer a different perception of their visual weight as you walk around the table, with an impressive scenic yet slender and graceful presence, given by its rounded shapes.
The classic modern dining table is also available in three precious single material finishes: a special clay hand finished spatula effect which gives the entire frame a sculptural look; the Geometric Table Wood, where ebony is used to make both the top and the legs, as if the table were carved from a single block of wood; and last but not least the Geometric Table with full marble top and legs. The Geometric Table is also available in a four-meter long version, Geometric 400, a size designed specifically for offices and the hospitality sector.
The base features four teardrop-shaped legs, both chunky and sleek and tapered all at once, making it a contemporary console that captivates with its unique design. As such, your perception of the weight of the piece changes as you move around it.

Alain Gilles (1970–) is a renowned Belgian designer. Design was not his first calling: his university studies initially focused on Political Science, a discipline in which he graduated in Brussels. He then pursued a career in the financial sector for several years before deciding to change his life and move to France, where he earned a second degree at the Institut Supérieur de Design in Valenciennes—this time following his passion for Industrial Design. In 2007, after several years of collaboration with fellow Belgian designer Xavier Lust, he founded his own studio and began a series of successful partnerships with several major international design brands. The most significant and productive of these have been with the Belgian office furniture brand BuzziSpace and the Italian company Bonaldo, both of which quickly made him one of their leading designers. Winning the title of Designer of the Year in 2012 at the Interieur Kortrijk Fair opened the door to many new collaborations, including with brands such as Ligne Roset, Varaschin, Miniforms, XL Boom, Saba Italia, Vincent Sheppard, La Chance, and many others.
