Concept
We considered the many crucial factors affecting FLOATs creation. Knowing the in-house capabilities of Greyfox, we highlighted the company wide enthusiasm, light-hearted and considered approach to furniture and work solutions. An impossibly light, novel and multi-functional ‘Hero’ product was created, which forms the DNA for a wide range of accompanying products in the family.
FLOAT is designed to be simple, modular and elegant. The hexagon is the basic building block of FLOAT and supports endless combinations and layouts. We believe geometry is aesthetically pleasing and provides for both form and function. The collection includes a dividing screen, stools and table elements, which have been designed to work together, seamlessly. The generous, comfortable arm-pad of the FLOAT chair can be specified in a contrasting finish to its seat.
Whatever your needs, the agility and flexibility of FLOAT encourages more naturalistic and meaningful communication between people. We’ve developed a truly modular and flexible solution for workers, which acknowledges the need for adaptable ergonomics, during ‘Away from the Desk’ activities. FLOAT‘s light aesthetic is guided primarily by the spatial requirements of the dynamic human form.
Technology meets design in the range of GreyFox and AirCharge® finishes. We match bespoke textures and materials to provide a seamless surface or subsurface integration into any desk or tabletop for a premium finish and enhanced aesthetic. We also integrate all battery and charger storage and wires into our sleek designs to create tidy, smooth surfaces and spaces.
