Concept
The BENT collection is shaped by rhythm, asymmetry and tension. Bent shape of the shade reveals its beauty through light and shade. The light-grey material used for this series remains deliberately discreet and lets the bends do the talking.

Germany
After studying ceramic art for several years - including a lengthy spell in Japan - Finke studied beaux arts at the UdK Berlin focusing on the interface between the applied and fine arts. Since 1999 Christian Finke's work has concentrated on interior lighting. His approach is that of a sculptor cum architect working within carefully restrained boundaries. There is always a keen interest in the intrinsic character of the materials used and the play of contrasts which they produce. Christian Finke works in Berlin since 1995.
