Concept
PILLAR chair by designer Martin Hirth embodies formal effortlessness, concise design and the highest level of sitting comfort. With its harmonious radii, the chair frame’s delicate lines provide a haptic experience and reveal its detailed workmanship. The solid oak frame is available with and without armrests as well as an oiled or black-stained surface. Thanks to the unique back rest, PILLAR receives its distinctive appearance. It hugs the body like a soft pillow and captivates with intricately sewn ruffles and concise drapery. The seat and back rest are upholstered with high-quality fabrics or leather and provide a particularly comfortable seating experience for many unforgettable hours.

Martin Hirth was born in Horb in the Black Forest and studied product design at Academy of Art and Design in Offenbach/Main. As an undergraduate student he started his own business and worked at the same time, from 2011 to 2014, as an assistant for Sebastian Herkner. Since he opened his own design studio in 2013, Martin Hirth has been creating products for international brands. They have been on display at exhibitions in Milan, Paris, and Cologne and received many awards. What makes them stand out is their formal ease and their stern concept. They are charming and, last but not least, sustainable – both visually and materially.
