Captain's Pipe Chair

The Captain’s chair is a shell shaped chair that draws inspiration from yacht helm chairs. It was designed by Metrica (Bruno Fattorini and Robin Rizzini) at the same time as the Marina range. Their aim was to create an extremely comfortable chair for people of all ages and statures and to partially replace the more youthful seating benches around the Marina combo. The final result is a shell chair offering unrivalled seating comfort. Its wide shell offers the ultimate in seating pleasure, even for large or tall people.

The shell chair comes in black & white as standard, but other colours are also available on request. You can also add your own colour by choosing the optional cushion or upholstered shell. The Captain’s chair comes in seven different models: the Sliding & High Sliding chair with a sled base, the Woody’s & High Woody’s chair with a wooden base, the Paw chair with adjustable feet, the Rolling chair on four castors and the Swivel chair on five castors.

This shell-shaped chair can be used in a variety of environments thanks to its shell frame and is ideal for public spaces, private homes, indoors or outdoors. It is perfectly suited for terraces, patios, hotels, restaurants, pubs, offices, dining rooms, meeting rooms, bars and lounges, to name but a few possibilities. As the wheel-framed options may roll in the wind, we do not recommend that these are used outdoors.
