Architonic ID: 1434717
SKU: LSDT
Year of Launch: 2016
The table from the legendary Locus Solus collection by Gae Aulenti reinterprets the characteristics of the other elements in the series: sinuous lines with a retro inspiration and bright colours. The glass top enhances the curved design of the base, while the transparent surface plays with the rays and light of the sun. This whimsical table, with a dynamic and contemporary visual impact, is already an icon of contemporary design.

Concept
Locus Solus collection, projected by the Architect Gae Aulenti, is the first big outdoor collection ever realized. Over fifty years after the first edition, Exteta returns to the stage the irreverent modernity of this system of seating, tables, lamps and sunbeds for the garden designed byt Gae Aulenti in 1964 and reproduced today with exclusive rights under license to Archivio Aulenti.
Colors and lines of the collection adapt themselves to the environment with vivacity and personality. With Locus Solus, Gae Aulenti explores the expressive potential of color applied to metal and cloth to create a fresh and relaxed setting that is intentionally free of pre-constituted compositional paradigms, favouring a personal vision of space. The geometry of the steel tubular framework reminds the classic shape of curved wooden chairs and, with the eccentric application of color, becomes a feature of great personality, a timeless mood that, together with materials and cushions decorative patterns, has made Locus Solus an informal and lively icon for pop style.
