The Essentiel sofa presents itself with a clear purpose. A design without excess and friendly ergonomics, it represents a mix of Italian elegance and northern traits, merging harmonious elements in the space-time map of design. Attention to detail, a feature that has always characterized Saba collections, can be noticed in the quilting of backrest cushions and the grosgrain cord trim. With essential lines that can be customized, the 67cm and 77cm backrest pillows are also available in the higher version with a support roller. This sofa is available in the following sizes: 154 – 190 – 220 – 250 cm. With its sophisticated allure, our Essentiel armchair completes this timeless collection.
Concept
The Essentiel armchair was born with a clear mission: uncluttered, soft and welcoming, in design terms it magnificently fuses clean Scandinavian lines with traditional Italian flair. It has a clean-cut silhouette, yet it is easy to personalise by adding a rectangular or square throw cushion with a button detail. Its sophisticated allure is accentuated with an original Corten varnish foot and a grosgrain cord trim, available either in grey or rope. Fully removable covers.

Born in 1953 he left formal education and began, almost by chance, his experience in the field of the padded furniture. Fascinated by the world that surrounded him, he eagerly devoted himself to researching building forms and techniques which have borne fruit for the companies in which he worked. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and in 1993 he came across Saba Italia. New challenges and new incentives lead to the creation of the “nomad sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel, Avant-Après. Creations that were born from reflection of new desires that encourage us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that enable change with simple gestures, by playing with shapes.
