Sideboard Tobias

The Tobias sideboard consists of a concrete block with an inserted wooden element. The wooden cube has an open compartment across its entire width and two handle-less drawers underneath.

The sideboard is not nearly as heavy as it appears, because the concrete cube consists of individual slim, stable concrete slabs that are mitred and glued together to create the illusion of a solid cast block. This means that the entire sideboard, which is 240 cm long, weighs just 160 kg.

The wooden insert consists of veneered plywood panels combined with solid wood elements.
