Dorian
Architonic ID: 20265816
Year of Launch: 2022
The signature feature of the Dorian contemporary sideboard is the wide vertical groove highlighted in its doors. The sense of movement thus created by the doors of the Dorian sideboard breaks up the linearity of the wall on which it rests, thus adding visual appeal to the intrinsic function of the sideboard.
The doors and frame of this sideboard are made of wood, a material which adds elegance to the overall look, painted in white, bronze or lead finishes. The base is available in the version with two feet for a lighter visual effect or in the version with a plinth for a more compact look.

In 2007 Angelo Tomaiuolo established his own architectural firm Spazioameno, in pursuit of research and development of new languages in contemporary architecture, interiors and design, in the sign of environmental sustainability and technological innovation. Afterwards he received the honorable mention “best 30 concept” for Colorsdesigner International Competition. In 2008 he won the bronze medal award in the Seoul Design Olympiad with the Dancing Water pavilion project and his name was entered in Young Blood 08, the annual of Italian talents supported by the National Government. The professional studio, based in Florence, provides integrated design services and strategic consultancy in industrial design, interior architecture, lighting engineering, exhibition installations and commercial spaces, has signed numerous products and installation projects in the many years of collaboration with significant companies in the field of furniture design. It’s time for design to consider technological culture in its holistic range of meanings: the use of renewable energy sources, innovative production processes, low-impact and recyclable materials, is the key to achieve environmental sustainability, that means technological research at the service of human being and nature health. Nature is also an unlimited inspiration source to develop new design languages: topological and morphological organic references, through digital technology and 3D generative modeling tools, guide ethic and aesthetic design processes in order to define the dynamic body of values for architecture, spaces and products: economic and ecological issues, structural solutions, sensorial emotionalism, ergonomics, symbolism, lightness, irony, fluidity… Angelo Tomaiuolo | Design Studio works on a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from industrial design and interiors to architecture and exhibitions, with a purpose-driven and multi-disciplinary approach that combines experimental research and innovation with technical know-how and professionalism acquired after years of collaborations with internationally recognized architects like Massimiliano Fuksas and Matteo Thun.
