The optical effect of light and shade, with a rippled, watered appearance, is created by hot pressing the fabric between two rollers. But there is much more to it than that: first and foremost the savoir-faire and manual skills required by this type of finishing technique. The resulting allure, vibrant colours and three-dimensional effect of its pattern highlight the freedom and expressiveness intrinsic in the material, and in the yarn. The new Dedar moire is free-spirited in its design, an abstract pattern of bold dimensions, soft and lavish in the way it hangs and vibrant and contemporary in its colour palette.
