Designed by Giorgio Bonaguro for Carpanese Home, the Cusco sofa was conceived as a modular system of furniture articles inspired by the cyclopean walls of the ancient cities of Latin America. The ample, geometric and complementary shapes fit together like brick walls in order make up multiform seats, joints and backrests. Evolutionary solutions designed to fit into any space. Viewed from the front, it is comfortable and welcoming, yet full of unexpected impact when viewed from the side. An apparently simple system in which concept, aesthetics, production techniques and quality converge to create a project that won the Archiproducts Design Award in 2022, which brings together the best creative minds in Architecture and Design every year and rewards high quality design, innovation and the right balance between functionality, technology and beauty.
