Concept
Designed in 1986 by Paolo Rizzatto, Luceplan’s first big hit, Costanza, is now an icon that has been produced in over one million units. It is the first lamp to apply innovative formal and technological solutions like the self-supporting polycarbonate shade and the sensory touch dimmer. The first line featured a diffuser in seven colors to combine with a structure in brushed aluminium or black coated finish.
The new color scheme developed by Paolo Rizzatto with Studiopepe (Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto) is divided into two families of colors for the shade, each composed of 5 new tones, joined by the original white. All the new variants bring out the qualities of the matte surfaces.
A new, contrasting proposal is seen in the Mezzo Tono collection, a sort, painterly range of pastel shades that remind us of the paintings of Morandi, misty landscapes, soft skins. Light tones that stand out for their discretion, conveying a warm sense of welcome: Comfort Green, Edgy Pink, Mistic White, Soft Skin, Shaded Stone.
The shades can be freely combined with the structure, also available in the new matte Off White paint finish, which joins the matte black and brushed aluminium versions. Available in all the Costanza and Costanzina types (table, floor, wall, ceiling, height-adjustable, bedside), the new color collections enhance the identity of a timeless icon, interpreting all the nuances of contemporary space.
