Concept
A bench is a bench is a bench is a wonderful reinterpretation by Uwe Fischer. Its elongated shape, clear lines and simple materials — wood and fabric or leather — combine to create an object that conveys lightness and seating comfort, even without a backrest. Bridge is more than an upholstered bench, it is a tool for the modern office that is dedicated entirely to the new informal way of working. Here nothing is put off until later. Here you can even relax whenever you feel like it. “Functionality without too much design attitude,” is what Uwe Fischer had in mind, meaning a language which is understood both in the living and working environment. We think he succeeded.
Long. Very long. This requires a sound foundation, a clever construction. Bridge offers both in two depths and six lengths. The wide version works perfectly as an island, in the middle of the room. Special protection is provided for the bottom of the side sections by means of a colour-coordinated plastic shoe.
