Ausgangspunkt fur unseren Entwurf war die Idee, die beiden leicht nach außen abgespreizten Wangen dieses großformatigen Tisches und der Bank mit einem massiven Teakholzsteg zu verbinden und zu stabilisieren. Wir wählten eine handwerkliche Keilkonstruktion, um Steg und Wangen fest zu verankern. Dadurch entstand eine nicht nur im Wortsinn „spannende“ Form, sondern auch ein interessanter Materialkontrast: Das sehr flache HPLMaterial sieht zusammen mit dem massiven Teakholz richtig gut aus!
Concept
Favourite spots for living areas and gardens have their origins in conmoto. Furniture ranges JIG and TENSION by design studio Maly Hoffmann Kahleyss continue this refreshing tradition. Their bold combination of teak and HPL is as comfortable as it is sturdy.

Profile Peter Maly Born 1936, studied interior design at the College of Art and Design Detmold (completion 1960), 1960-70 member of editorial board at magazine "Schöner Wohnen", since 1970 own design studio with staff of five. Design of international furniture collections, trade fair architecture, exhibitions, photo set designs, showrooms and store concepts: complete project handling from product design to public presentation. Characteristic of Maly's work is the love of geometric shapes and his striving for clarity, functionality and timelessness. Many of his own designs have become modern classics. Maly has received numerous international awards. In 1995 form-Verlag published his book Designer Monography"
