About this product

Architonic ID: 20752232

Year of Launch: 1926

Eileen Gray created not only some of the most important furniture classics of the 20th century but also had her own studio where rugs were produced according to her designs. Some of her most beautiful patterns are part of the ClassiCon collection: highly durable, high-quality products produced with skilled craftsmanship. The textile artworks, woven with 80 knots per square inch (6.45 cm²) from 100% hand-spun New Zealand virgin wool, are easy to clean and suitable for allergy sufferers. Virgin wool is biodegradable and a renewable resource. The colour pigments are environmentally friendly and tested according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. Eileen Gray’s gouaches and pencil drawings from the 1920s served as the basis for this design. Named after the picturesque coastal town Cassis in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southern France, where Eileen Gray spent significant periods of her life, the colour scheme of this rug is reminiscent of the blackcurrant fruit of the same name.

Available in standard sizes 240 x 200 cm and 300 x 250 cm. Customized sizes upon request.
