About this product

Architonic ID: 1246629

Designed by German-based design trio Maly Hoffmann Kahleyss, the CHALLENGE Armchair features a supremely comfortable, curved seating shell that dovetails exquisitely with the curved wooden frame that supports it – like a hand in glove. The design provided an exciting challenge (hence the product name) for Conde House’s craftsmen, but one they rose to admirably.

With its harmonious transition from frame to legs and its beautifully haptic rounded edges, CHALLENGE offers the user, on a visual level, the promise of well-being before they sit, on which it then fully delivers.

Concept

Maly Hoffmann Kahleyss (Hamburg) add several new pieces to the Challenge collection. Available in solid walnut or oak, the unobtrusive design combined with perfectly crafted details invites to look at, touch and use.

ARMCHAIR CHALLENGE completes the chair series with an ideal complement to the chair presented in 2013. The chairs’ self-supporting frame and finely crafted armrests ask for relaxed seating. The TABLE CHALLENGE completes the table Collections of Conde House. In particular in combination with the chairs of the CHALLENGE series the table creates a harmonious atmosphere of contemporary, minimalist design. A symmetrically crafted tabletop rests on solid cheeks, which are supported by delicate legs. A Statement!

An absolutely unique feature is the EASYCHAIR CHALLENGE- here Conde House managed to create a synthesis of design, craftsmanship and material. The filigree solid wood frame enclosing the chair completely carries a luxuriously padded seat with ultra-lightweight feel. In combination with the STOOL a chair with absolute potential to become a classic icon of comfortable seating.
