Concept
In many countries of the world, the concierge at the hotel is the good spirit at the reception desk, taking care of the wishes and needs of arriving and departing guests. This idea gave rise to the full-body mirror "Concierge Mirror", designed by Andreas Kowalewski. The large wall mirror is characterised by its clear and reduced aesthetics and is a practical and versatile object for the hallway, a mixture of wardrobe, shelf and mirror. The solid oak shelf offers space for keys, wallets or a mobile phone. Umbrellas and scarves, for example, can be hung from the slim and minimalist metal frame.

The Berlin-born designer Andreas Kowalewski was initially trained as a carpenter before he began studying industrial design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Prior to founding his own design studio, Kowalewski worked as a design director in the consumer electronics field and was based in the Netherlands and China. The studio was founded in 2016 as an interdisciplinary design studio based in Amsterdam and relocated to Hamburg (Germany) in 2017. Kowalewski’s work encompasses a wide range of creative services in furniture, lighting, consumer electronics and strategic design consulting. From the beginning, the studio has collaborated with several internationally renowned brands and won many international design awards. His work focuses on creating contemporary and meaningful solutions for everyday life, reducing complexity in form and function and transforming it into objects with personality and sustainable use of materials.
