A delicate ruby form surges up from below through a sea of clear Murano glass ("cristallo"). The structure is chromed and the cable (which does not run through the glass) is clear. The standard shade colour is Viceroy Zinc.

Concept

We wanted to launch our Collections with the most beautiful of all materials – Murano glass – in the most beautiful of all techniques – sommerso (coloured glass submerged in clear glass). The minimal contemporary designs of our Sommerso Collection (by the prize-winning young studio, BrogliatoTraverso) require exceptional mastery of glass, which is free-blown (no mould is used) by ARS Murano. The shades are duppion silk (available in 160 colours), lined with satin.
