New Eden
Architonic ID: 1461171
Year of Launch: 2017
Concept
Daniela Puppa and Francesca Martelli have redesigned their previous creation (Eden, designed in 2011), by retaining the inspirational concepts yet radically changing the developmental approach. New Eden is a valley dotted with flowers that has been turned upside down. It transforms the concept of a traditional chandelier with its closed body, which is full of reflections that are generated by dozens of floating hand-crafted glass flowers arranged on a white metal sphere. All of the flowers are made of transparent glass, except for one which gives emphasis to the lampshade and can be positioned anywhere. Each flower has a very bright 1.5 watt LED and other LEDs are located inside the lampshade facing upwards to illuminate the surrounding area. All LEDs are included.
