Palladio Collection

Palladio is available as a coffee table, side table, writing desk and cabinet in various sizes. It is possible to combine coffee tables and side tables into a complete coffee table setup.

Table Height

Choose from 38 cm and 48 cm.

Tabletops

The Palladio tables are lightweight and feature a 50 mm honeycomb core with 4 mm MDF. The straight plywood edge is finished with the same top layer as the tabletop.

Top layer personalization options

For the top layer, there is a choice of oak veneer finished in an Artifort oak oil colour or transparent lacquer.

Alternatively, there is the option of a fully lacquered tabletop in the same colour as the base.

‘We strongly believe in the iconic power of reduction of expression in the Palladio table. Equally inspired by the classic principles of architecture by the Venetian master of renaissance architecture Andrea Palladio and the minimalistic sculptures by American artist Donald Judd, we believe that this table will have a long life through passing trends’.

Construction

The Palladio family consists of dining room tables, conference tables, side tables, desks, and a console table in various dimensions. The table top is manufactured in oak veneer with a standard oil finish, standard veneer, or lacquered with textured lacquer that complements the powder-coat textures. The legs come in sanded stainless steel, polished stainless steel, or with a power-coat texture.

Concept

The Palladio table is a table in its most essential form – flat top, four straight legs, nothing else. So less is more, but less is also more… difficult. The connection between the leg and top is not just virtually invisible, but needs to be very strong. The designers Claesson Koivisto Rune explain: ‘Thanks to the clear concept and the collaboration with the Artifort development team we were able to achieve the challenging goal: Minimum material dimensions, pure expression and maximum stability.'

The design feature of the Palladio table lies entirely in the leg/top joint detail. Because the connection is so strong, an almost endless variation of sizes and proportions is possible. Adding a variety of colours and/or surface materials the table works in almost any room or function and in combination with other furniture in any style.
