Unterlinden Wall
Architonic ID: 20778998
Year of Launch: 2023
Unterlinden was created in 2014 as part of a specific project: the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar, France. The focus is on the characteristic luminaire head- minimalist and yet unique in its materiality. The natural oxidation process of the die-cast aluminum or brass body, which is interrupted and fixed by a transparent varnish, makes each object unique. The lens precisely and efficiently regulates the output of the LED, which reaches a professional level. A bracket on the rod and a counterweight on the cable allow the luminaire head to be swiveled or adjusted in height.
Unterlinden stands for simplicity and elegance, which is expressed in balanced and essential, functional and elegant forms that have been thought through down to the smallest detail- unique in terms of materials and workmanship.

Concept
The design partnership with Herzog & de Meuron continues to follow the development of their architectural designs, which often offer opportunities to think about developing new lighting solutions. In multiple projects designed with the firm Herzog & de Meuron, including the Feltrinelli Foundation in Milan as the latest, the suspension appliance Unterlinden has conveyed its versatility through a variety of special versions. These include Unterlinden table, a new entry in the catalogue. It is a table lamp with a thin metal stem that allows to set the head in the perfect position to ensure excellent, non-glaring illumination of the working area.
